MACRO ABSTRACTION

For our next assignment, we are going to stay in the small realm. I want you to head outside and look for the little natural details that are often overlooked. Try to get so close that the actual subject becomes unrecognizable and the photo looks like an abstract painting. Try to compose the photo as you would any other, looking for good lighting, contrast, balance, etc. If you have a macro lens or a macro setting on your camera this will be helpful. A flashlight may also come in handy to add some shadow and depth to the image. Go for a hike and have fun with this, just watch for poison ivy!!!
